A crazy afternoon for sure. With a new camera to try and a good friend in town from NYC, what better place to go than Denver’s Civic Center Park for the 4/20 Pot Rally.

4:20 P.M. on 4/20. Crowd erupts into wild cheering as everyone lights up.
Timing is everything, right? My good friend Kevin Wick rolled thru Denver as part of a cross country trip just in time for the event. We’ve been friends for a good 10 years or so and it was great fun to shoot together.

Yep, my eyes were red and burning the rest of the day.
I’m very excited about the new mirrorless camera systems, having dived into Panasonic’s Lumix GH3, loving it. All of these photographs were taken with it and one of two lenses: 12-35mm f/2.8 and 35-100mm f/2.8 zooms. The camera and lenses are about 1/2 the size of my Canon gear, weigh much less and produce amazing results.
Hybrid Photography — blending video with still imagery is here and I’m excited to be a part of it. You’ll be reading a lot more about it here, accompanied by more images and video clips. My “storytelling with a camera” and Hybrid Photography go hand-in-hand.
Smoke ‘um if ya got ‘um!!
